CLASS B Wigley's hit leads A. Falcons past Livi



Rondinelli topped Mink and Youngstown Express blanked Roth.
STRUTHERS -- Adam Wigley singled just inside the bag at third base to drive home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Astro Falcons edged Livi Steel 5-4 in Class B baseball Saturday at Cene Park.
Drew Turocy had three hits, one a double, for the winners (13-4). Jared Bartholomew added two hits.
John Mang tossed a complete game for his fourth win. He had two strikeouts.
Billy Messer sparked Livi (9-8) with three hits, one a double, and Brock Stevens hit a pair of singles.
Jake Abbott (1-2) suffered the loss in pitching a complete game with two strikeouts.
Rondinelli 11, Mink 8
Rondinelli Tuxedo pitcher Matt Bable scattered three hits and struck out three to pick up the win.
Hayden Johnstone, Matt Katich, Cory Collins, and Tony Brunetti collected two singles apiece for the winners (12-5).
Lonnie McQueen had two hits and drove in two runs to pace Mink Financial (9-8).
There were 13 errors in the contest, seven by Rondinelli.
Youngstown Express 4, Roth 0
Brad Moody and Jim King combined to pitch the six-hit shutout for the Express (4-13).
Moody (1-2) worked the first five innings for Express. King struck out three batters and didn't allow a hit in two innings of work for the save.
Dan McCloud hit a pair of singles for the winners.
Dave Preston hit a double and single and Matt Vince collected two singles for Roth Brothers (2-15).
Losing pitcher Bill Nelson (0-3) went the distance with two strikeouts. He allowed three earned runs.
