Sexual assault, robbery reported in city
YOUNGSTOWN -- A 32-year-old Jefferson Street woman who was asked to pick up her aunt's friend at a house on West Princeton Avenue late Tuesday night said she was sexually assaulted and robbed of her purse by a young man who answered the door.

The woman told police she kicked the man in the crotch while he was ripping her clothes off and slapping her around. The kick caused the suspect to topple and the woman was able to escape. She drove to police headquarters downtown to report the crime. The victim, who had visible bruises, was told to not wash her clothes but to bag them and turn them over to investigators.
