Rondinelli 10, Mahoning Valley Panthers 5 -- Eric Francis collected three hits and Cory Shawn Roman and Drew Fitzpatrick added two hits apiece for Rondinelli.
Wharmby Sports 8, Salem AC 1 -- Tyler Moser pitched a complete game four-hitter and also went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Wharmby. Tyler Young had three hits. Ross Revella and Larry Goist chipped in with two hits each.Joe Koch Realty 9, Rizer Group Insurance 8 -- Kevin McCulloh scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning. Leading Koch Realty were Matt Pitzulo with two hits, including a triple, and David White and Ricky Segesto with two hits each. Michael Natale paced Rizer Group with three hits and three RBIs. Nick Ludovici, Michael Leonard Kyle Callahan each had two hits.

Austintown Sweeney Chevrolet 6, Lakeview IC 5 -- Anthony Ricci hit a triple and scored the winning run. Vince Testa and Marty Chance added two hits and two RBIs apiece.Austintown Sweeney Chevrolet 10, Poland Home Savings Loan 7 -- Cal Locketti, Eric Archer and Dan Rubosky each had two hits and two RBIs. Eric Archer also pitched five shutout innings for the win.Columbiana DeChellis Dental 11, Niles Dunnigan Photography 0 -- Pat Sposoto hit a grand-slam home run and Steve Bensinger and Tim Biroschek combined to pitch a two-hitter for DeChellis.Austintown Sweeney Chevrolet 19, Niles Shultz Service Center 3 -- Alex Morales pitched the final four innings shutting out Niles. He also hit a double and single. Jake Volsko, Kevin Daley, Jimmy Hagan and Mike Hebebrand added three hits apiece and Vince Testa hit a home run.Austintown Sweeney Chevrolet 20, Salem Parker Hunter 12 -- Vince Testa and Eric Archer each had three hits and three RBIs. Chad Burbrink, Jake Volsko, Dan Rubosky and Jake Volsko added two hits and two RBIs.
SOFTBALL
Valley Sting 18U -- The fastpitch team won its bracket at the 72-team Pennsbury College Showcase Tournament near Philadelphia. After opening up with a 3-2 loss to Fire N' Ice from Massachusetts, Sting won four games. Allie Patton (Poland), Kasey Karr (Champion) and Pam Dreslinski (Kingsville) had the only hits for Sting in the first game. Markie Pozzuto (Mecca) pitched a three-hit shutout to spark Sting's 6-0 victory over the Cambria County (Pa.) Comets. Patton singled and tripled and had three RBIs and Pozzuto also had a single and a triple. Sting posted a 4-1 victory over Ewing Edge (New Jersey). Karr's three-hit pitching led Sting and Dreslinski hit a two-run homer. Sting edged Brewster (N.Y.) Rockets 2-1 as Pozzuto fired a one-hitter. She also had two hits and an RBI. Dreslinski singled in the other run. The Sting then defeated Morris County (N.J.) Belles 2-1 for a bracket title. Patton scored the winning run on a single by Karr.
