XSTRUTHERS -- Beth Marie Peters, 1051 S. Zeno Way, Aurora, Colo., and Lt. Ronald Kenneth Terry, 6204 Rose Hill Drive, Alexandria, Va., exchanged wedding vows May 28 at St. John AME Church.
The daughter of Mary and Jack Pittman, 706 E. Park, Hastings, Neb., and Bill and Jan Peters, 1119 Elm Ave., St. Paul, Neb., and the son of Edgar and Rachel Terry, 295 Woodbine Ave.,were married in a 4 p.m. ceremony by the Rev. Wyleeia Moxey. A reception followed at the Stadium Club at Youngstown State University before the couple left for a honeymoon in Niagara Falls.
The bride is a third-grade teacher in the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora after earning a bachelor's degree in education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a master's in curriculum and instruction at the University of Phoenix.
The groom is a contract specialist for the Navy in Washington, D.C., after earning a bachelor's degree in economics at Washington State University and a master's in business administration at Southern New Hampshire University.
Shellie Caplinger served as maid of honor, and Denise Carpenter, Destiny Dearking and Tamara Anglin were bridesmaids. Aisha Watt, the groom's niece, was flower girl.
Leon Woods, the groom's brother-in-law, was best man, and Erick Pruitt, Brian Karosich, Aaron Ayers and Brent Moorhead were groomsmen. Eric Martinez was ring bearer, and ushers were the bride's brothers, and Josh and Zach Peters.
