Third annual Hartzell outing set



LOWELLVILLE -- The third annual Michael T. Hartzell Charity Golf Outing will take place June 26 at Countryside Golf Course, 1421 Struthers-Coitsville Road.
The four-person scramble will open with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $75 per golfer or $300 per team and includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch and dinner, beverages and prizes.
Checks should be made payable to Michael Hartzell Scholarship Fund and sent with registration to Chip Olenick, Countryside Golf Course, 1421 Struthers-Coitsville Road, Lowellville, OH 44436.
Chairman of the event is Youngstown Police Chief Robert E. Bush. Olenick is event coordinator, and treasurer is Bill Leskovec.
Each year proceeds from the outing go toward Youngstown State University scholarships for children of police officers in the area.
The event commemorates Youngstown police officer Michael Hartzell, who was killed in the line of duty in April 2003.
