Stahara 50th celebrated on Pittsburgh cruise

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Andrew and Glady Jean Stahara of Youngstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner June 18 at Cliffside Restaurant atop Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, hosted by their daughters, Denise and Sandra Stahara of Youngstown.
Afterward the couple renewed their vows while cruising on the Majestic, a Gateway Clipper Fleet boat.
The couple also celebrated the occasion on a Canadian vacation.
Mr. Stahara and the former Glady Jean Pitko were married June 18, 1955, at Holy Trinity Church. They are members of St. Dominic Church.
Mrs. Stahara was active in the PTA at Taft Elementary and Wilson High School, where she also was a chaperone for the dance line and band. She belongs to American Slovak Cultural Association.
Mr. Stahara is a Marine Corps veteran, having served in the Korean War. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and works in dispatch for The Vindicator. He is a member of Slovak Catholic Sokols.
