Late rally lifts Metros past Bud's



YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Metros rallied in the last two innings as it turned back Bud's/Decioccio/Civics 5-4 in a Class AA League game at Pemberton-Donnell Park.
It was only the second loss of the season for Bud's (12-2).
Bud's built a 4-1 lead during the first three innings.
The Metros scored a run in the fourth inning and two in the sixth.
Dan Bertolini singled leading off the bottom of the seventh for the Metros. Jonathan Habuda walked and Scott Bender singled home Bertolini with the deciding run.
Dave Yost pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up the win in relief. Bertolini led the Metros with two singles.
Frank Santore hit a triple and two singles to pace Bud's. Mark Nightingale hit a single and had two RBIs.

WARREN -- Mike Hanck went 3-for-4 with a double as Penn-Ohio posted a 7-2 victory over Champion Molded Plastics at MacGregor Field.
Pat Elias hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning and he also hit a double. Jason Lucas hit a double and single.
Lone Wolf Freight Systems 5, Bazetta-Cortland Optimists 3
D.J. Gross (3-1) got the win for Lone Wolf (5-5).
Mark Yartz, Adam Sturm, and Brandon Hillman and Steve Boxler each had two hits for BCO (6-5).
