Family celebration in Kettering marks Wessells' 60th

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wessell, 1793 Brockton Drive, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during a family dinner party June 18 at the home of Sally and Michael Athmer of Kettering.
Other family members are Steve and Mary Wessell of Denver, Rick and Karen Wessell of Charlotte, N.C., Laura and Mark Bunnell of Painesville, Carrie and Jim Kutney of Atlanta, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wessell and the former Peggy Buckles were married June 16, 1945, on the 25th wedding anniversary of his parents, Walter and Ruth Wessell.
The couple are members of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, where he is an elder.
Mr. Wessell served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Truscon Manufacturing. Mrs. Wessell, a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, retired from Wean United Inc.
