Athena Nastoff, major league player to marry

XBOARDMAN -- The engagement of Athena N. Nastoff, 434 Glen Park Drive, Bay Village, and Ryan M. Church, 625 N. 5th St., Santa Barbara, Calif., is being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Penny Stratos and Albert Donofrio, 871 Brookfield Ave.
The prospective groom is a son of Karen and Gary Church of the Santa Barbara address.
Invitations will be issued for a 3 p.m. ceremony Oct. 8 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Rocky River, and an evening reception at the Renaissance Downtown, Cleveland.
The bride-elect is a neurology sales representative for Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Cleveland after earning a bachelor's degree in psychology at Youngstown State University. Mr. Church is an outfielder for the Washington Nationals Major League Baseball team.
