Auto theft: A man discovered his 1988 Jeep Cherokee missing from outside his apartment in the 900 block of Patricia Drive.
Theft: A man told police someone stole two street signs near Villa Place and Park Avenue.
Theft: A worker at Santisi's IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St., reported a man tried to leave without paying for $31 worth of steaks.

Theft: An employee at Family Dollar, 900 N. State St., reported a woman entered the store carrying a coat she used to conceal various clothing items before fleeing in a vehicle.
LIBERTY
June 9
Theft: A Youngstown woman at her daughter's home in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road told police the daughter's boyfriend removed a sweeper, a DVD player and two TVs, items that belonged to the mother.
Arrest: After conducting a vehicle registration check at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., police took into custody a 54-year-old Campbell man on charges of receiving stolen property, a felony, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. He also was wanted on warrants charging him with probation violation and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Officers determined the car had been stolen in Hubbard and had fictitious license plates.
Theft: A customer pumped $12 worth of gasoline at a Speedway station, 4210 Belmont Ave., and left without paying.
Burglary: Police arrested a Youngstown man, 44, on a burglary charge after a Poland man reported seeing someone enter and leave a vacant Hadley Avenue apartment while stripping it of copper plumbing lines and causing damage to its interior. Officers say the suspect was carrying a 5-foot-long piece of copper pipe when they apprehended him.
June 10
Theft: A Girard man told police he gave a Youngstown man $240 to buy supplies for a business the victim is opening in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue and that the man, claiming to work for an electric company, failed to show up to do the work after several days.
Drugs: After police stopped a car at Giant Eagle for having no front license plate and a broken windshield, they apprehended a 44-year-old Girard woman. She was charged with driving under suspension as well as possession of drug-abuse instruments after officers said they found two hypodermic needles.
Assault: A Brookfield woman told police that after being invited to the site of her former employer in the 4700 block of Logan Way, another woman pulled some of the victim's hair out and punched her in the face.
Theft: A Youngstown woman told police someone in another vehicle struck her car as she pulled out of a parking space in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue, and that the other driver claimed she was hit. The victim said she gave the other woman her driver's license and the other woman left.
June 11
Criminal damaging: A Hubbard man reported that, while driving near Belmont and Wilson avenues, a side window was shattered and his windshield was hit by projectiles. Damage was estimated at $400.
Theft: A Youngstown man who was at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, for a wedding, reported a money bag containing $500 stolen from a reception area.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Newton Falls man discovered his car's passenger-side window had been smashed while he was at the Quality Inn & amp; Suites, 4055 Belmont Ave. Stolen were a $150 cellular phone and a $200 compact-disc player.
Theft: Police arrested a 52-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of theft and criminal trespass after she was accused of stealing a bag of potato chips from a BP gas station at 2703 Belmont Ave.
June 12
Theft: Police cited a 36-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a worker at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., said the man went through a self-scan lane and deliberately failed to scan five six-packs of beer, a bottle of lighter fluid, a bag of charcoal and a small grill.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a Bel Air Drive man, 42, at his home on a domestic-violence charge after the man's sister alleged he threatened her with bodily harm.
Possible theft: A man in the 4000 block of Logan Gate Road reported a license plate lost or stolen from his motorcycle.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 800 block of Churchill-Hubbard Road came home and discovered a rear sliding-glass door unlocked and a bedroom window open. About $100 worth of change was missing.
Breaking and entering: Someone made a hole in a rear garage door and cut the phone and alarm wires before breaking into Jensen Lock & amp; Alarm, 3075 Belmont Ave. It was undetermined what was taken.
June 13
Criminal damaging: A man in the 900 block of Ravine Drive found out someone tossed a weight through a window, causing $700 in damage.
Theft: An employee at Nick's Auto Service, 3523 Belmont Ave., told police a Hubbard man improperly had his vehicle towed from the lot and failed to pay $68.78. The worker also said the man owed $109 for work performed on a second car.
Recovered property: A North Bloomfield woman recovered a checkbook, two credit cards and a Michigan driver's license after she said she saw someone toss the items under a car at Giant Eagle.
Theft: An employee at a Speedway gas station reported a customer left without paying for an 18-pack of beer.
Stolen property: Police were called to Giant Eagle after a woman reportedly tried to cash a suspicious check later determined to have been stolen. They arrested a Youngstown woman, 47, in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue and charged her with receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence, both felonies, as well as passing bad checks.
