Three pitchers combine on three-hitter for Astro



STRUTHERS -- Three Astro Falcon pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as they blanked Koch Construction/Line Drive 5-0 in the Class B League Tuesday at Cene Park.
Five games, postponed because of lightening and heavy rain on Friday, were played.
Kyle Smith went the first two innings for the Falcons, followed by Josh McKenney, who went two for the victory. Jim Kriebel worked the final three innings for a save.
Smith drove in the first two runs in the three run second inning with a single, while Jim Petrolla had a RBI double, and Drew Turocy added a triple for the winners (9-3).
Calvin Clayton tossed a complete game in defeat, allowing only six hits. Only two of the runs were earned.
Rondinelli 14, Roth Brothers 1
Rondinelli's (8-4) scored at least one run in each inning of the five-inning game.
Tony Brunetti hit a triple and two singles, while Cory Collins hit a triple and single and Chuck Olesky two singles.
Hayden Johnsone struck out seven and allowed only one run in picking up the win.
Corey Sternihal had a pair of singles for Roth (2-9).
Livi Steel 12, Dave Sugar 2
Stephen Hermann hit a two-run home run, Scooter Hargate hit a bases-loaded triple and Dan Morrison drove in four runs for Livi Steel (7-5).
Derek Sumner (1-2) pitched a complete-game three-hitter, allowed two runs with three strikeouts and five walks.
Dave Diyorio had a RBI single for Sugar (5-7).
Wharmby's 13, Yo. Express 3
Lou Kopachy hit a triple and a pair of doubles and Andy Chrobak added three singles to lead the 14-hit attack for Wharmby's (7-5).
Kopachy had four RBIs and John Warren (2-0) allowed just two earned runs as he threw a complete game with six strikeouts for the win.
Mike Berry hit an RBI double for Express (3-9).
R & amp; J Trucking 7, Mink 2
Ed Rohan hit a bases-loaded triple in the six-run fifth inning as R & amp; J (9-3) won its fourth straight game.
Jim Pasquine hit a double and single and Matt Yarab added a single and triple for the winners. Tyler Pierce (2-0) went five innings for the win. He allowed just one earned run.
Brett Grabman hit two singles and Jason Davis a single and double for Mink (6-5).
