Win allows R & amp;J to take first place



A bases-loaded walk made the difference in one game.
STRUTHERS -- Ed Rohan had three hits including a double and 4 RBIs and R & amp;J Trucking took over sole possession of first place in the Goldstone Division with a 17-3 win over Koch/Line Drive in Class B action Sunday.
Kevin Drummond, Jim Pasquine, Aaron Cosma, Matt Tarab, and CJ Morris had two hits each for R & amp;J (7-3).
Joe Iacubucci had two hits for Koch/Line Drive (1-8).
Youngstown Express 1, Rondinelli Tuxedo 0
Tad Gaspar tossed a six-hit shutout as the Express (3-7) broke a five-game losing streak.
Gaspar had three strikeouts and walked four and the Express scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the third inning on a single by Dave Vitko that scored Jeff Rupert.
Matt Bable got the loss, throwing a complete game, allowing only four hits with 10 strikeouts. Rondinelli (6-4), which has lost three straight, stranded nine.
Phil Williamson and Cory Collins had two hits each for Rondinelli, while Jim King had a triple for the Express.
Roth Brothers 8, Astro Falcons 7
Kyle Pitts drew a bases loaded walk to force in the winning run as Roth (2-7) won its second straight.
Pitts (1-2) got the win in relief, while starter Trent White allowed one earned run in five innings.
Ben Mackall and John Pizulo had two hits each for Roth, while Drew Turocy had a triple and a double and drove in four runs for the Astros (7-3).
Jim Kriebel added a pair of hits for the losers. Mike Swoboda (0-2) suffered the loss in relief, going 5 2/3 innings.
Livi Steel 13 Mink Financial 0
Livi Steel used a 14-hit attack in defeating Mink.
Billy Messer, Brock Stevens, Stephen Hermann and Manoli Pahoulis had a pair of hits each to back up the three-hit pitching of Bobby Revesz (2-1).
Revesz had four strikeouts as Livi (6-4) won its fourth straight.
Mink (6-3) got singles from Mike Brown, Jeremy Wormer and Brett Grabman.
Wharmby Sports 11,Dave Sugar Excavating 1
Wharmby scored eight runs in the top of the first inning and sent 14 men to the plate in the frame.
Billy Herman had a single, double and triple, while Josh Fyffe had three hits, including a double, for the winners.
Tom Popidak (1-1) allowed just three hits and had 11 strikeouts to get the win. Wharmby (6-4) also got two hits from Joe Burnich. For Dave Sugar (4-6), Dan Allison had an RBI triple.
