XAmerican Cancer Society is holding its 6th annual Austintown Relay for Life, rain or shine, on Friday and Saturday at Austintown Fitch High School Stadium. Kick-off will be at 6 p.m. with a cancer survivor lap, followed by dinner. A luminary ceremony will be at 9:30 p.m. During the entire event, there will be musical entertainment, competitions, local celebrities, food, games and more. Other Relay for Life events scheduled Friday and Saturday are: Springfield Local High School in New Middletown, Lordstown High School and Reilly Football Stadium in Salem. DRAWINGS
XSt. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, will hold a cash drawing for three consecutive Wednesdays before the church's annual St. Rose Festival begins July 29, 30 and 31. The drawings will be held on July 13, 20 and 27. All winning tickets will be put back into the barrel for the grand prize drawing on July 31 at 11 p.m. Tickets are $1 each and six for $5. The drawings at the festival July 31 will be for $5,000, first prize; $1,000, second prize; and $500, third prize. Winners need not be present. Tickets for the advance drawings are available at the parish house; tickets for the festival drawings are also available at the parish house and will also be sold on the festival grounds.

XFirst Assembly of God Church, 2300 Austinburg Road, Ashtabula, will hold a gigantic towel, linen and tool sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 23 and 24 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25. For more information contact the church at (440) 275-7720.
XA trash and treasure sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 North Broad St., Canfield. There will also be a bake sale.
XA summer garage sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Shrine of our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. There will be a special raffle and a Chinese auction. Refreshments will be available for purchase along with a bake sale.
XSalem Memorial Building Association will hold its 17th annual summer bazaar, "Arts and Crafts in the Park," from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25 at Salem Centennial Park, East Pershing Street, one block south of state Route 14. Vendor space (20-by-20) is available for $25. An 8-foot table and chairs will be provided for $10 more. Tents are allowed, and no electric will be available. Each vendor is asked to donate one item for a Chinese auction that will benefit the Office on Aging. Send check or money order to: Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St., Salem, Ohio, 44460. XTrumbull Art Gallery, 196-198 E. Market St., Warren, will showcase vintage collectibles and other one-of-a-kind items at its Treasures for TAG fund-raiser Thursday through Saturday. Pieces donated include artwork, lead crystal table sculpture, antique lace and textiles, glassware and lavishly illustrated books. A festive preview sale is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $15 and reservations are required. The show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There is no admission fee. SHOWS
XA benefit car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25 at Salem's Centennial Park, East Pershing Street. Cars may register between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., no preregistration is necessary. The $5 entry fee enters the car owner in prize drawing. Three Best of Show prizes will be awarded, decided by most votes cast by spectators. All proceeds will benefit Debbie Fagan of Salem who has a rare bone marrow cancer.
