New series to highlightlocal young talents
NEWTON FALLS -- The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County is sponsoring Tune It Up-Newton Falls, a performance series at 7 p.m. on selected dates this summer at the Newton Falls Community Center, 52 E. Quarry St.
The series offers performance venues for local young adult musicians who want to share their music with the community.
Bobbie Brown, director of the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, said the "energetic, alternative bands will offer a sampling of what today's diverse musical styles are all about."
The schedule includes:
UJune 14: Copyright Infringement (music of the '80s and '90s).
UJuly 12: Phil (classic rock).
UJuly 26: Xccentrophobia (alternative/light rock).
UAug. 9: Sanity Fare (light alternative rock).
