Livi Steel steals win over Express; Astros, RJ Trucking gain victories



STRUTHERS -- An inside-the-park home run and nine stolen bases helped Livi Steel post a 10-6 victory over Youngstown Express Saturday in Class B League at Cene Park.
Billy Meser hit the inside-the-park homer, a two-run shot, as Livi improved to 5-4. Manoli Pahoulis hit a double and single, while Brock Stevens added two hits.
Nick Brown worked six innings and struck out nine to pick up the win.
Youngstown Express (2-7), even though it had five stolen bases, lost for the fifth straight time. J.R. Gibson led the team with three hits and Corey Keller collected two.
Astros 4, Dave Sugar 1
Drew Turocy (1-1) scattered seven hits with 10 strikeouts to pick up the win for Astro Falcons (7-2),
Jared Bartholomew and Jim Kreibel hit a double apiece for the winners.
For Sugar (4-5), Joe Micco hit a double and single for Dave Sugar Excavating (4-5).
RJ Trucking 6, Rondinelli 5
Rondinelli Tuxedo (6-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but R.J. Trucking battled back to tie Rondinelli for first place in the Goldstone Division.
Aaron Cosmo went the first five innings for his second win on the season while Tyler Pierce tossed the last two innings, allowing only one hit.
R.J. Trucking rallied to tie the contest at 3-3 in the fourth inning and took the lead for keeps with a three-run rally in the fifth.
Ed Rohan hit a double for R.J. Trucking. Matt Dado hit three singles and Phil Williamson added a triple for Rondinelli.
