Vandalism: A woman in the 60 block of Hamilton Drive said someone deliberately forced open her backyard gate.

June 1
Attempted theft: A man in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue discovered his vehicle's steering column was damaged, apparently when someone tried to steal the car.
Theft: A worker at Radio Shack, 7385 Market St., reported the theft of a portable DVD player.
Theft: A man noticed property missing from his car at his home in the 400 block of Mathews Road.
Misuse of a credit card/forgery: A man reported he lost his check-cashing card while at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way, and that the card was misused at various Boardman locations.
Identity theft: A woman in the 8500 block of Reserve Drive told police someone was using her son's name and phone number for fraudulent purposes.
Burglary: A woman in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard found out her apartment was burglarized.
Arrest: Police picked up a 22-year-old Niles man on an outstanding warrant from Boardman, charging him with theft in reference to a theft at Circuit City, 7230 Market St.
Arrest: A 16-year-old Boardman boy was accused of breaking into Marathon Oil, 965 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: After a traffic stop, a 30-year-old Boardman woman was arrested. She was wanted on two warrants from Youngstown charging her with failure to appear on one count each of obstructing official business and failure to comply with the orders of a police officer. Police also charged her with possession of marijuana after saying they found suspected marijuana in her purse.
Arrests: A Hanoverton man and a Salem man, both 18, were arrested on theft charges after someone stole clothing and cologne from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Drugs: While investigating a complaint at the Wagon Wheel Motel, 7015 Market St., officers arrested a Campbell woman, 25, and a Youngstown woman, 27. One of the women was wanted on a warrant charging her with probation violation, and also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and possession of marijuana after police say they found suspected drugs in her purse. The other woman was wanted on outstanding warrants from Youngstown, one of which charged her with failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: While investigating a possible fight, police arrested a 15-year-old Boardman girl on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business and being an unruly juvenile. Officers say they recovered a knife in her pocket, and that she provided a false name and date of birth.
June 2
Auto theft: A woman reported her Olds Cutlass stolen from her residence in the 1900 block of Mathews Road.
Theft: An employee at the Grand Buffet, 7690 Market St., told police a customer left without paying a $43.46 food bill.
Theft: A woman reported her purse containing $270 and five credit cards stolen while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 7400 block of West Boulevard noticed someone tried to enter his home through the garage.
Vandalism: An employee at Denny's Restaurant, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported a table had been damaged.
Robbery: A man told police he was assaulted while in the Caswell's Bar parking lot, 1714 Boardman-Poland Road. A flip phone and a necklace were stolen from him.
Arrests: A Struthers man, 19, and Lowellville man, 24, surrendered to police. The younger man was wanted on a warrant charging him with criminal damaging; the other man was charged with two felony counts each of receiving stolen property and forgery.
Arrest: Struthers police arrested a 34-year-old Akron man and turned him over to Boardman police. He faced a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Arrest: Officers apprehended a 19-year-old Austintown man near Market Street and Ewing Road and charged him with aggravated menacing. He was accused of threatening to shoot an employee at Ziebart Boardman, 7880 Market St.
Arrest: A Boardman woman, 24, was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, criminal damaging and possession of criminal tools.
Arrest: Officers picked up a 15-year-old girl at her Glendale Avenue residence on a probation-violation charge.
Drugs: After pulling over a car near Melrose Avenue and Market Street, officers arrested a Hubbard man and a Youngstown woman, both 44. Charges against the man included possession of crack cocaine, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; the woman faced the same charges plus one count of possession of marijuana.
Arrest: While looking for a vehicle that left the scene of an accident, police arrested a 49-year-old Youngstown man. He was charged with public intoxication.
June 3
Burglary: A woman in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road reported her apartment had been burglarized.
Theft: A man discovered a lawn mower stolen from his home in the 5200 block of Southern Boulevard.
Theft: A woman reported her purse, a handbag, $800 and two credit cards stolen while she was at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Drugs: Police charged a 17-year-old Youngstown boy with trafficking in drugs, a felony, after stopping his vehicle near Midlothian Boulevard and Youngstown-Poland Road. Officers alleged he was in possession of suspected marijuana packaged and prepared for sale.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Shields Road reported someone used a rock to break a window.
Arrest: After an investigation by Boardman police, a Niles man, 18, was charged with breaking and entering.
Arrest: Boardman police picked up a 45-year-old North Lima man on charges of misuse of a credit card and identity theft, both felonies.
Drugs: Police arrested a Poland man and a Boardman man, both 24, at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd. One suspect was charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and was wanted on a warrant charging him with contempt of court; the other was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug-abuse instruments.
Drugs: After pulling over his car near Larkridge Drive and South Avenue, officers took into custody a 21-year-old Youngstown woman. She was wanted on felony warrants charging her with drug abuse and deception to obtain a dangerous drug.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 34-year-old man at his Cook Avenue residence on a felony charge of domestic violence after his wife alleged he punched her in the face and back several times.
June 4
Attempted burglary: A woman came home to her residence in the 200 block of Meadowbrook Avenue and noticed small pry marks on a door frame.
Attempted auto theft: A man in the 7400 block of West Boulevard discovered his car's steering column damaged.
Assault: A woman told police someone grabbed and choked her during a traffic situation near Glenwood Avenue and Shields Road.
Theft: A man in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle reported his car had been broken into and a stereo removed.
Criminal damaging: Someone kicked out a window at an apartment in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 100 block of Indianola Road discovered tire tracks on his lawn.
Theft: A woman reported a theft at her husband's gravesite while she was at Lake Park Cemetery, 1459 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Arrest: Boardman police charged an 18-year-old McDonald man with impersonating a police officer after they say he flashed a badge at another driver while driving recklessly.
Arrest: After responding to a fight, police arrested a 21-year-old Boardman man on charges of assault and aggravated trespass.
Arrest: After responding to a call about a suspicious man looking inside cars, officers apprehended a 20-year-old Youngstown man. He faced one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon after police say they found a gun in his pants pocket.
June 5
Burglary: A woman in the 1900 block of Mathews Road alleged her landlord entered her apartment illegally.
Theft: A motorist pumped gasoline at a BP station, 310 Boardman-Canfield Road, and drove away without paying.
Theft: A man in the 4600 block of Yarmouth Lane discovered a statue missing from his yard.
Arrest: Police arrested a 24-year-old Warren man on a theft charge after he was accused of concealing cigarettes in his clothing at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive. He also was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown charging him with probation violation.
Arrest: A 28-year-old Youngstown man was charged with disorderly conduct after officers say he was walking near Market Street and Romaine Avenue while intoxicated.
