Singing group celebrates its 20th year

YOUNGSTOWN -- The 20th anniversary of Pastor Kenny Eldridge's Jesus Celebration Singers will be observed in a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Fellowship Tabernacle Christian Center.
The center is located at 730 Avondale Ave. in the Taft School Auditorium.
The Jesus Celebration Singers represent all denominations around the Youngstown area. The 25-person group has been nominated for Stellar Awards, which are equivalent to Grammy awards. Nearly half of the singers have been with the group since it was established in 1985. Pastor Eldridge, who founded the group and performs with the singers, noted nine of the group's albums have been on Billboard's top charts.
Meanwhile, other performers and guests at the 20th anniversary will include national recording artist Marxan Malaco, Debora Benton, Mark Jackson and the Final Call, Monica Phillips and Visions of Worship, the Joshua Generation, Pastor Austin Shaw and the Community Group Singers and Pastor Edie Smith.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free. For group seating, call (330) 744-1844.
