Twin brothers earntheir Eagle awards
Twin brothers William M. and Jonathan J. Chachko recently earned their Eagle Scout awards, Boy Scouting's highest honor, at a court-of-honor ceremony at Hartford Methodist Church.
The brothers, 15, sons of William and Jacquelyn Chachko of Fowler, are sophomores at Badger High School.
William has held several positions in Troop 90, which he joined in May 2001, including senior patrol leader, historian and scribe. Currently, he is a patrol leader. Gary Brainaird is the Troop 90 scoutmaster. He has earned 30 merit badges and has been awarded the Order of the Arrow.
While in school, William participates in the Spanish club and pep band. He also serves as an altar boy at St. Michael Church, Hermitage, Pa.
Jonathan's current position in the troop, which he also joined in May 2001, is senior patrol leader. He also has been a patrol leader, assistant patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader. He has earned 31 merit badges and also has been awarded the Order of the Arrow.
Jonathan's school activities include soccer, baseball, academic challenge and pep band. He also serves as an altar boy at St. Michael.
DOCTORS
Austintown woman earnsosteopathic doctorate
Stephanie Phillipson Kopey of Austintown has earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens.
Dr. Kopey earned her bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Youngstown State University in 1999. She is doing her residency at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren and is scheduled for another residency next year in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Cleveland Metro Hospital.
She married to Robert Kopey of Boardman and is the daughter of Jack and Debbie Phillipson of Austintown and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Wallace of New Castle.
