IN THE CUP Area aces

Patsy Smith of Hubbard made ace on 134 yard, No. 5 hole at Cross Creek golf course. Witnesses were Debra Schell, Jim Schell and Jim Smith.
Dave Kaercher of Youngstown made hole-in-one on the 155-yard, No. 14 hole using a 6-iron at Oak Tree Country Club. The shot was witnessed by Harry Toscano, Dr. Dick Cannon and Gene Weisen.
Bob McGovern of Boardman aced the 139-yard, No. 3 hole with a wedge at last week's Ursuline-Shamrock Open at Avalon South. Witnesses were Ralph Misko, John Pridon and Mike LaRocca.
Richard Whittaker of Mineral Ridge aced the No. 3 hole at Tamer Win Golf Course in Cortland. He used a 7-iron on the 134 yard hole. It was witnessed by George Daughtery, Dan Miller and James Benedict.
Jim Hilbun of Cortland made a hole in one at Tamer Win Golf Course. It was his second career ace and both came on the same hole. Witnesses were Mark Homrighouse, Bill Johnson and Ben Duncan.
