Girl will compete in national horse show



CANFIELD -- Lisa Flaschberger, daughter of Gary and Sue Flaschberger of Canfield, will compete Aug. 5-13 in the American Quarter Horse Association Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas.
Flaschberger, 16, a junior at Canfield High School, will be among 2,000 youths, ages 18 and under, from the United States, Canada and several other countries participating in the show.
She will compete with her American Quarter Horse; Live, Love and Laugh; a 7-year-old Bay Gelding, in the Hunter Hack class competition.
The AQHYA World Championship Show is an invitational event that serves as a showcase for top American Quarter Horse youth exhibitors.
Competitors must have earned a predetermined number of points at American Quarter Horse Association-approved shows between May 1, 2004, and April 30, 2005, or be one of two entries in each event nominated to represent each provincial Quarter Horse youth association.
Highlights of the show will air on "America's Horse," AQHYA's weekly television series on TVG Network. The broadcast date is Sept. 25 at 11:30 a.m. A rebroadcast will be Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.
