YOUNGSTOWN -- A Papa's Pizza delivery driver was carjacked and robbed on Lake Drive around 10:45 p.m. Thursday by three armed suspects, possibly teenagers, police said.
The driver, who was interviewed by police at the Market Street pizza shop, said he was making a delivery in the 700 block of Lake when three robbers in ski masks, two with shotguns and one with a .45-caliber handgun, forced him back into his vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The robbers took $100, his wallet and cell phone. He was driven around near Mill Creek Park while the robbers demanded more money. He jumped from the vehicle in the area of Parkview Drive and Volney Road and ran, hearing at least one shot fired at him, police said.
In a second robbery, police reported two West Side teenage boys on their way to Burger King on Midlothian Boulevard were carjacked at gunpoint when they stopped at the corner of Hudson and Mistletoe avenues at 11:25 p.m. Thursday.
The teens said two robbers took $35, two cell phones and drove off in the 1998 Dodge Neon one of the teens was driving. The victims walked to a house on Cascade Drive and called police.
