CRIME Man accused of raping girl
AUSTINTOWN -- A Mahoning County grand jury indicted a 20-year-old North Kimberly Avenue man on charges of raping an 11-year-old girl.
The county prosecutor's office directly presented the case Thursday to the grand jury against David J. Robinson Jr., charging him with two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.
The girl's father called police last week after the girl's baby sitter told him his daughter had told her about the contact with the man.
The girl said she had played the game Truth or Dare with Robinson at his house, which led to touching and other sex acts.
When police interviewed Robinson, he admitted engaging in oral sex with the girl, saying that he "needed help" and that "everyone was going to hate him," police reports said.
Detective Sgt. Ray Holmes was the investigator on the case.
