GIRARD
July 24
Auto theft/recovered property: A Brookfield man discovered his 1992 Olds Cutlass missing from the Avon Oaks Ballroom, 1401 N. State St. The car was found in Youngstown, but its steering column was damaged and bullet holes were in the hood and passenger-side door.
Assault: While responding to a fight at Mikee's, 30 N. State St., a man told officers another man punched two patrons. One victim reported being punched, thrown to the ground and kicked.
Domestic violence: After responding to a call about two sisters fighting at their Iowa Avenue home over money one had found, officers arrested one of the girls on a domestic-violence charge. One of the siblings alleged the other grabbed a kitchen knife and went after her with it.
Assault: An East Second Street woman reported a boy, 17, punched her 15-year-old son in the mouth and threatened to kill him and his family while the two were at an East Howard Street residence.
July 25
Possible theft: A man in the 300 block of Iowa Avenue said his wallet was lost or stolen in an unknown location.
Drugs: A man told police he found a small bag of suspected marijuana in a car in the 100 block of Elruth Avenue.
July 26
Drugs: While searching for a man at a residence in the 400 block of Taylor Avenue who was wanted by police, officers say they found packaging used for drugs, several spoons with suspected drug residue, a small rock of suspected crack cocaine and suspected drug-abuse instruments in the home.
Theft/fraud: A woman in the 600 block of Joan Avenue told police her automated-teller-machine card was missing and that someone fraudulently used it to remove $200 from her National City Bank account.
Breaking and entering: A neighbor called police after seeing two men in their 30s reportedly leave the front porch to a home in the 80 block of Crumlin Avenue. A rear porch window was broken.
LIBERTY
July 21
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road discovered tires on his and eight other vehicles were punctured. The damage estimate was around $1,700.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: Police apprehended a Youngstown man, 32, on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. After a man in the 2900 block of Northview Boulevard reported his daughter's car had been stolen, officers determined it was used without permission. The vehicle was returned, although damaged.
Theft: A man in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street alleged a woman, 36, took a loaded .33-caliber revolver that belonged to him.
Theft: A woman in the 1600 block of Hazelwood Drive reported that after two men came to her home to pick up clothing, she discovered a Sony PlayStation game system and 30 PlayStation games missing. Her loss was $1,700.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road discovered damage to a couch and a toolbox after they were tossed in a trash bin, and that two speakers and a keyboard were missing.
Theft: A man in the 3400 block of Denver Drive reported someone entered his car and took a $300 speaker box.
July 22
Theft: A Trumbull Court woman reported a 2006 validation sticker stolen off her vehicle.
Theft/recovered property: A Youngstown man reported a $90, 20-inch bicycle stolen while he was at the Safe House, 3243 Cardinal Drive. The man found the bicycle the next day.
Theft: An employee of the Liberty Fire Department, 4100 Logan Way, discovered $60 was removed from a locker.
July 23
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle, officers arrested a 39-year-old Hubbard man near Logan Avenue and state Route 304. He faced a charge of driving under suspension and was wanted on a charge of contempt of court.
Theft: Police arrested a 47-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after one package each of pork and steaks were stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: After a Holly Drive woman told police a man was in the bedroom of a Northview Boulevard residence that she was moving into, they arrested a Youngstown man, 19, on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and drug abuse. Nothing was missing, and officers say the suspect admitted he had a bag of suspected marijuana in his pocket.
July 24
Theft: A woman in the 3000 block of Biscayne Avenue found out $642.50 was taken from her Home Savings and Loan checking account. The money was apparently used to pay for a Sprint PCS account belonging to someone else.
July 25
Criminal simulation: An employee at Giant Eagle found that a customer passed a counterfeit $5 bill.
Criminal damaging: Someone broke a window to a room, causing $200 in damage, at a Super 8 Motel, 4250 Belmont Ave.
July 27
Misuse of a credit card: A Youngstown man discovered his ATM card was used to withdraw $300 from his account at Bank One, 3999 Belmont Ave.
HUBBARD
July 20
Theft: A motorist left a Shell station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for gasoline.
July 21
Criminal damaging: An employee at Wings Express, 636 W. Liberty St., reported damage to his vehicle.
Possible drugs: Police learned that a man reported people in a car at Patton's IGA Super Center, 880 W. Liberty St., had tried to sell drugs to him.
July 22
Attempted theft: A man in the 800 block of West Park Avenue discovered someone tried to take property from his vehicle.
Fraud: A man in the 600 block of Lloyd Street told police he had been scammed.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 100 block of West Water Street found someone had cut a screen on a garage window.
July 25
Theft: A worker at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St., reported a man stole a bottle of laundry detergent.
Assault: A man reported being assaulted in the Family Dollar parking lot, 19 S. Main St.
Auto theft: Police reported that, while on routine patrol, they saw someone driving a stolen car on Rebecca Avenue.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Moore Street reported the theft of personal belongings from a storage unit.
