Man, 50, accused of menacing with gun



WARREN -- A 50-year-old Warren man was arrested after being accused of aggravating menacing earlier this week at 733 Fourth St.
According to the police report, people were sitting on the front porch Monday around 7 p.m. when Alvin L. McMillan, who was walking eastbound on Fourth Street, pointed a gun at them, said they should not mess with him or his family and threatened to shoot them.
The people went into the house and watched the man go to 660 Fourth St. They came back onto the porch, and the man reappeared walking westbound on Fourth Street with a pistol and a rifle. The man stopped in the street in front of the their house, pointed the guns at them and made similar threats, they said.
The people ran inside and called police. Police observed the man on the front porch of 838 Fifth St., arrested him and placed him in a cruiser. The man tried to crawl out the rear passenger window of the cruiser; police pushed him back in and he began cursing and kicking the back of the seat, the report says. Police then maced the man.
The man is being held in Trumbull County Jail pending his initial appearance.
