Police: Man drove into path of train

LEETONIA -- A Leetonia man was killed Friday night when he drove his vehicle into the path of an oncoming train, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
David Baker, 44, died at about 11 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Health Center, about three hours after the accident at a crossing on Beeson Mill Road near East High Street Extension, a highway patrol spokesperson said.
The engineer of the Norfolk Southern Railway train told the state patrol that the man drove his car onto the track just as the train was going over the crossing. Investigators believe the act was intentional.
