Miss Timmerman to be bride of Christopher Barry

XAnnouncement is being made of the engagement of Amber Timmerman of Bettendorf, Iowa, daughter of Rusty Timmerman of Davenport, Iowa, and Jeri Timmerman of Bettendorf, and Dr. Christopher Barry of Coralville, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Barry of Lowellville.
The bride-elect received a degree in electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology from Scott Community College in Bettendorf, where she is employed as an END program director-instructor.
Dr. Barry graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree and earned his medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He is a faculty associate neurosurgeon at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
The couple will be married Sept. 10 at St. Anthony Church in Davenport, and their reception will be held at The Abbey Hotel in Bettendorf.
