CANFIELD
July 15
Burglary, resisting arrest: A 20-year-old Canfield man was arrested on charges of burglary and resisting arrest after he entered a residence in the 200 block of Deer Trail Drive, got a set of keys and got into one of their vehicles. The man fled on foot and police captured him and admitted him to a hospital because he was anxious and incoherent.
July 19
Theft by deception: An ex-employee is believed to have stolen a check made out to Radio Shack, 429 E. Main Street, for $96.66. The business also reported three, two-packs of portable radios, a modulator with s-video and a package of AAA batteries missing.
July 20
Theft: Numerous items of gold jewelry were reported missing by a resident in the 100 block of Talsman Drive. The woman told police her granddaughter and her boyfriend had admitted to taking them. The granddaughter and boyfriend went with the grandmother to two pawn shops where the merchandise had been taken to retrieve it. The grandmother notified police the pair would be at her house, where the 18-year-old Toledo woman and 18-year-old Youngstown man were arrested on theft charges.
July 21
Attempted breaking and entering: A sliding glass-door window was broken in an attempted break-in, and another window was also broken in the 50 block of West Main Street. No entry was gained into the house.
Trespassing: A night watch person reported that a man slipped under an Ohio Department of Transportation fence next to Sebastiani Trucking Co., 61 Railroad St., and drove off with his vehicle, which he had parked at Sebastiani's. The watch person said upon approaching the man, the suspect said he was going to call the police.

July 18
Auto theft: A 2001 yellow Ford Mustang convertible was stolen from Regal Cinema's parking lot, 6020 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: An ATM card, a camcorder and jewelry were stolen from the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.
Theft: Soda was taken from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Counterfeit money: $1,000 in counterfeit money was tendered at Western Union in Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse and cell phone were taken from the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A programming card was stolen out of a cell phone at Mahoning County Court No. 4, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A man and a woman were arrested on theft charges at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Wedding rings were taken in the apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
July 19
Theft: A washing machine was taken by an ex-tenant in the 400 block of Southward Drive.
Theft: A debit card was taken in the 700 block of South Turner Road.
Theft: A woman and a man were arrested on theft charges at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A Rossi .38-caliber revolver was stolen from the 3000 block of Ascot Court.
July 20
Criminal damaging: Damage was reported to a rented home in the 5000 block of Pine Shadow Court.
Theft from auto: Two DVDs, an LCD screen "head press" and a CD player were stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Criminal mischief: Nails were put in a yard in the 5000 block of London Drive.
Aggravated robbery: A woman is a suspect in an armed robbery at the TA Travel Center, 5400 76 Drive. She pulled a loaded handgun and took an unknown amount of money.
Theft: Clothing was taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.
July 21
Auto theft: A red 2002 Dodge Durango with no plates was stolen from Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $20 worth of gas was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal trespass: A woman was arrested on a trespassing charge at TA Travel Center, 5400 76 Drive.
Theft: A 19-year-old man was arrested on a charge of stealing DVD at Wal-Mart.
July 22
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged by solvent in the 3800 block of Sandburg Drive.
Auto theft: A 1995 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Receiving stolen property: A 17-year-old boy was apprehended at Dunbar Avenue and Orkney Road driving a car stolen in Youngstown.
Theft from auto: A case with CDs was stolen from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Dunbar Avenue. The items were later returned. A Sony CD player also was stolen.
Theft: $440 was withdrawn from an account by an unknown female at Sky Bank, 6010 Mahoning Ave.
Theft from auto: A CD player was taken from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Dunbar Avenue. Entry was gained by unknown means.
July 23
Disorderly conduct: A man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.
Drug offense: Two Austintown men were arrested on drug charges, one for drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and the other for drug abuse in the 4100 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Drug offense: An Austintown man was placed in county jail after being arrested at North Four Mile Run Road and Belle Avenue on five drug charges: Drug abuse of cocaine, aggravated trafficking, possession of dangerous drugs, permitting drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A clerk was short-changed at Pilot Oil, 1150 Canfield-Niles Road.
July 24
Theft from auto: Miscellaneous tools and hardware were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: Food was taken from a freezer at Arby's, 4440 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged in the 5000 block of Oakcrest Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was keyed at the Shell gas station, 1704 S. Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged in the 1000 block of Compass West Apartments.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A wallet with money, an Ohio license and credit cards was stolen from Austintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Lost or stolen: A watch and a marriage license were reported missing at St. Joseph's Church, 4565 New Road.
