60th anniversary is Tuesday for the Acheys

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Paul J. and Marion Achey, 3029 Canfield Road, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Tuesday.
The couple were married on that date in 1945 in Woodland Avenue Lutheran Church, Youngstown.
Mrs. Achey is a homemaker, and Mr. Achey was a truck driver and forklift operator for Tamarkin Co., Youngstown, before retiring March 27, 1987. He is an Army veteran, having served as an infantryman in the European Theater during World War II, for which he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
The couple are members of St. Joseph Church in Austintown, where Mrs. Achey is a bingo worker, American Association of Retired Persons and the Teamsters Retirees.
They have four children, Jonathan P. Achey and Victoria J. Pazillo, both of Youngstown, Janet M. Bartosh of Oakwood, Ill., and Paul T. Achey of Loveland; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
