AUCTIONS
XAn art auction will be sponsored by Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry Aug. 6 at McDonough Museum on the campus of Youngstown State University. A silent auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction at 7:30 will feature items created by local artists and children served by the ministry. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. BENEFIT DANCE
XA dance will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday at the Center Stage in the Center Square Plaza, Monaca, Pa., near Beaver Valley Mall, as a benefit for Drew Daugherty of East Palestine, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident last year. Funds will be used to cover his medical, health care and transportation needs. The event will feature a Chinese auction, face painting, a 50-50 raffle, refreshments, prizes and a disc jockey. FUND-RAISERS
XSt. Christine Church, 3165 Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will host the second annual family-oriented Motorcycle Bingo Run and Car Cruise on Sunday to raise money for Hospice of the Valley and Cub Scouts Pack 22. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Bikes will be blessed at 10:15 a.m., and the group will proceed to Geneva-on-the-Lake at 10:30 a.m. Riders are expected to return to St. Christine's around 4:30 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee per person for the motorcycle run. Both rider and passenger must register. A 2005 Harley-Davidson XL 1200 Custom Sportster will be raffled off at 6:30 p.m. Three cash prizes will also be awarded. Tickets for the raffle may be purchased at the church office, from any Bingo Run committee member or by mail. SALES
XSt. Benedict Auxiliary will sponsor a rummage sale Aug. 4, 5 and 6 at the garage of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 180 Belvedere N.E., Warren. Lunch and baked goods will be available.
