Irwins celebrate 60th anniversary today in Canfield

XCANFIELD -- Bette A. and John R. Irwin, 4174 Sugarbush Drive, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today with a family celebration.
Hosting the event are their children, Susan White of Zionsville, Ind.; Bob and Michael T. Irwin, both of Westerville; Betsy Bobel of Dublin; and Nancy Irwin of Sunbury.
Mr. Irwin and the former Bette A. Jones were married July 12, 1945, in St. Dominic Church, Youngstown. They were the owners of Sherry's Dress Shop in Boardman before retiring in 1994. Mrs. Irwin is a local artist and member of St. Michael Church. Mr. Irwin is a former longtime member of Tippecanoe Country Club and a World War II veteran, having served in the 8th and 9th Army Air Corps Supply Division.
The couple have four grandchildren.
