XCOLUMBUS -- Steve Randall Rotz and his bride, the former Cortney Dawn Backus, both of 5036 Stoneybrook Blvd., Hilliard, honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Florida following their marriage June 18 at Glenwood United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Robert L. Alexander officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony. Afterward, the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at JP's Barbecue at Bolton Field.
Parents of the bride are Jeff and Kim Backus, 2189 Green Island Drive. The groom is a son of Patty Rotz, 501 Dorchester Drive, Hubbard, and the late Randy Rotz.
The bride wore a white, halter-style wrap dress with an embroidered and beaded bodice flowing to a chapel-length train.
White and lilac gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Britney Backus of Columbus, and the bridesmaids, Julie Overton of Goose Creek, S.C.; Tara Price of Las Vegas; and Maggie Rotz of Hubbard, the groom's sister. Mikayla Jasper of Hilliard was flower girl.
The duties of best man were performed by Andy Case of Masury, and groomsmen were Brandon Park of Hubbard, Chris Reed of Summerville, S.C., and Rich Balcarcel of Columbus. Tristan Palmer of London, Ohio, was ring bearer.
The bride is attending Columbus State Community College, and she and her husband are attending Ohio State University. They are employed at the Sygma Network, she as a receptionist and he as an office clerk.
