XGATES MILLS -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 2 p.m. ceremony June 25 at St. Francis of Assisi Church as Caroline Carbone of Mayfield and Matthew Zimmerman of Canfield were united in marriage by the Rev. Zachary Kawalec.
Afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the Villa Di Borally in Richmond Heights.
Parents of the bride are Carmen and Mary Carbone of Mayfield. The groom is a son of John and Kathy Zimmerman of Chapel Lane, Canfield.
The bride's satin A-line gown was enhanced with Swarkovski crystals and featured a cathedral train.
Peridot-colored gowns were worn by Marie Carbone, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Jill Placco, sister of the groom; Katie Coyne, the bride' cousin; Jaime Flick; and Jill Ulichney.
Ronald Rizzo performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Justin Dunaway, Richard Kramer, Seth Tosi and John Blystone.
After spending their honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple live in Streetsboro.
The bride graduated from Gannon University in Erie, Pa., with a bachelor's and a master's degree in accounting. She is in management with Safeguard Properties in Cleveland.
The groom, a software engineer with Notify Technologies Corp. of Canfield, graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
