Astro Falcons rebound to defeat L.F. Wolf in NABF junior regional



Huntington Hounds beat R & amp;J Trucking to remain undefeated.
STRUTHERS -- Astro Falcons, after losing 3-2 in 12 innings to Buffalo Mustangs Thursday, held off a late rally by L.F. Wolf Contracting to prevail 12-11 Friday in a National Amateur Federation Baseball Regional Junior (16 & amp; under) baseball game at Cene Park.
The Huntington Hounds remained unbeaten as it rallied from a 4-0 deficit to edge R & amp;J Trucking 5-4.
L.F. Wolf, behind 12-6, scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning before being eliminated by the Falcons, both teams are from the Little b League.
Kolten Hoffman came on in relief for the Falcons worked two-thirds of an inning, allowed a hit but no more runs to stop the threat and pick up the win.
Wolf, which outhit the Falcons, was paced by Garen Ream, Brian Szabo and Popio with three hits apiece.
Mike Dota led the Falcons with a pair of two-run triples. Andy Onofrank, Dave Dejacimo and Kevin Koval each added two hits.

The Huntington Hounds scored two runs in the fourth inning, then rallied for the deciding three runs in the sixth on a hit batter, wild pitch, fielder's choice and single by Jon Barnard, Thor Meeks and Jason McGinnis.
Matt Arnold scattered seven hits, with seven strikeouts to pick up the win.
R & amp;J Trucking of the Little b League took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on two walks, two passed balls and singles by Xavier Codoy, Mike Berone and Mark Lapikas.
Sylvestri Dominic worked six innings, allowed six hits and struck out six in a losing effort.
