XYOUNGSTOWN -- Jared Freeman and his bride, the former Alexis Pietra, both of 1198-D Pinecrest Place, Willoughby, honeymooned in Napa Valley and San Francisco, Calif., following their July 1 wedding at St. Christine Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. David Weikart, and were honored afterward during a reception at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall.
The bride, a daughter of James and Nancy Pietra, 1130 Suzylinn Ave., Youngstown, received her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and her master's in administration from Ashland College. She is a fourth-grade teacher in the Perry Public School System.
Parents of the groom are Jared and Marilyn Freeman, 3625 Cedar St., Greenbush, Mich. A graduate of BGSU with a degree in construction management, he is a project engineer with Marous Bros. Construction in Willoughby.
The bride wore an A-line gown of white satin styled with beaded straps.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Jaime Pietra, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Christin Spisak, the bride's cousin; Megan Estok; Katie Perko; and Shana Craig.
The groom's brother, Jeff Freeman, served as best man, and groomsmen were Matt Walton, Tim Walton, George Metzka and Jason Hughes.
The groom's niece and nephew, Madison and Austin Freeman, were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.
