Thurik-Shina wedding plans are announced

XPlans for their upcoming marriage are announced by Kristine Thurik, 4464 Woodridge Drive, Austintown, and Jason Shina, 3127 Rock Pond Circle, High Point, N.C.
The couple will issue invitations for their 2 p.m. Aug. 20 wedding at St. Columba Cathedral and for their evening reception at the Maronite Center, both in Youngstown.
Parents of the bride-elect are Michael and Carol Thurik 16589 S.E. 77th N. Ridge Court, The Villages, Fla., and Herb and Marcia Reed, 357 Rec Place, Madeira Beach, Fla.
The future groom is a son of Jim and Mary Shina of the Woodridge Drive address.
Miss Thurik graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is an advanced clinical nurse in the cardiac thoracic intensive care unit at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Mr. Shina worked toward his bachelor's degree in secondary education at Youngstown State University and was an education assistant with The Mollie Kessler School in Youngstown. He will continue his education at High Point University in North Carolina.
