INVESTIGATION Missing DA's girlfriend passes police polygraph

Officials say she has no knowledge of the man's whereabouts.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) -- The girlfriend of a top county prosecutor missing for three months passed a polygraph test and has nothing to do with his disappearance, police said Monday.
The test results also showed that Patty Fornicola also has no knowledge of where her boyfriend, Centre County District Attorney Ray F. Gricar, might be, the Bellefonte Police Department said in a statement.
Authorities said last week that Fornicola was not considered a suspect. Fornicola was asked to take the polygraph test as part of routine procedure in a missing person's investigation of this length, Police Chief Duane Dixon said.
Disappearance
Fornicola reported Gricar missing on April 15 after the prosecutor failed to return to their home in Bellefonte from a drive on his day off. His red-and-white Mini Cooper was found the next day in a parking lot in Lewisburg, about 45 miles away.
Fornicola had volunteered to take a polygraph test and has cooperated extensively with police since Gricar's disappearance.
U.S. Secret Service agents administered the test to Fornicola on Friday. Among the questions asked was whether she knew the location of Gricar's laptop computer, which also is missing. The test results showed she did not know, police said.
Gricar, 59, was supposed to retire in December after more than two decades as Centre County's top prosecutor. So far, the disappearance doesn't appear to be connected to any of his cases.
Police have said they have few credible leads and have not ruled out any scenarios, including foul play.
