Board offers free mental health workshop



YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Mental Health Board and related agencies such as the Veterans Service Commission will sponsor a free workshop on two mental health issues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 26 at Turning Point Counseling Center, 611 Belmont Ave.
The two-part workshop, limited to 50 participants, will run from 9 a.m. to noon for the first segment and 1 to 4 p.m. for the second segment.
The first segment, "National Incident Management System," will focus on behavioral issues facing military personnel and their families.
The second segment will discuss a national template for governmental agencies to work together during situations such as child abuse and domestic violence.
Registration begins 8:30 a.m. Counselors and social workers receive six continuing education hours after completion.
