55-PLUSLIBERTY
XThe annual picnic for Liberty 55-Plus Seniors and guests will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Churchill Park in Liberty. Lunch will be catered; donations of baked goods would be appreciated. There will be games, cards and a 50-50 drawing. Hostesses will be Mary Eck, Jo Hartman and Betty Sferra.

XBrownlee Woods Senior Citizens will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan Road and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be provided. New members are welcome.

XCampbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny's restaurant in Boardman.

XRetirees of Local 1199 will have their annual retirees picnic at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Chestnut Hill Pavilion in Mill Creek Park. Cost is $3 per person. Those attending are asked to take their own cold beverage.

XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Ken Barnhart will lead devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. XPublic Employees Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon Aug. 2 at the Italian American Veterans Centre, Meridian Road, Youngstown, for an indoor picnic. Thomas DiBernardi will preside, and there will be musical entertainment by Gloria Jean and Lou DiFabio. The picnic lunch will consist of chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, baked beans, fresh fruit, sheet cake, coffee and tea. XRetirees of Local 2243 U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel, S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10, will hold their regular meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the new Local 1375 Union Hall, 684 North Park Ave., Warren. A guest speaker from the Social Security office is planned, and a discussion about the summer picnic will be held.
