Mass, reception held in honor of Balogs' 50th

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The golden wedding anniversary of Thomas P. and Geraldine J. Balog was celebrated with a Mass on June 18 at the Holy Name Church, where the couple are members.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in Founders Hall at the church, hosted by the couple's children, Tom Balog of Sarasota, Fla., Diane Balog of Poland, and John and Gina Balog of Las Cruces, N.M., and their two grandchildren.
The former Geraldine J. Baytosh married Mr. Balog on June 18, 1955, at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown.
Mr. Balog retired from LTV Steel Corp. in 1983 after 39 years of service, beginning at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. Campbell Works. He served in the Air Force from 1945 to 1948 and is a member of the Sam Camens Senior Golf League.
Mrs. Balog was employed by Daugherty-Davis Co. in Youngstown and Packard Electric in Warren. She is a member of the Jednota First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.
