Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore: Extends along Lake Superior coastline for 40 miles in north-central Upper Peninsula between Grand Marais and Munising; www.nps.gov/piro or (906) 387-3700. Several rivers run through it, producing falls down 200-foot sandstone cliffs.
