July 6
Theft: A customer told an employee at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 7880 Market St., that a rental car was missing a rear license plate.
Criminal damaging: A man reported damage to his mother's vehicle while he was at Labor Ready, 4338 Market St.
Criminal mischief: Someone placed shampoo in a pond near a golf course at Sports World Corp., 8249 South Ave.
Domestic violence: After responding to a report of a domestic situation and an unruly juvenile at a home on Melrose Avenue, police charged a 29-year-old woman with domestic violence. A family member reported being a victim.
Theft: A 21-year-old Columbiana man was arrested on a warrant from Boardman charging him with theft. He was accused of stealing gasoline in May.
Drugs: Officers arrested a Boardman woman, 41, on two warrants charging her with one count each of drug possession, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Burglary: Police arrested a 45-year-old North Lima man on a burglary charge. He was accused of punching a window to gain entry to a residence his wife was visiting.
Theft: An employee at Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd., reported a customer stayed for three days and failed to pay his room charge for two of the days.
Theft: A woman left Bella Bronze Tanning Salon in the Southern Park Mall and found that a rear license plate was stolen off her car.
Burglary: Police responded to a report of someone breaking into a residence in the 7000 block of Amherst Avenue and assaulting the homeowner.
Theft: A 14-year-old Boardman girl faced a theft charge after someone took a palm pilot from Walgreens Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Theft: A woman in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road discovered $370 had been removed from a metal cash box in her bedroom.
Arrest: While investigating a report of someone hitting a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Clifton Drive and fleeing, officers arrested a 21-year-old Campbell woman. She was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.
Arrest: A 32-year-old New Castle, Pa., man was charged with violating a protection order after police say he was in a vehicle with the person who filed the order against him.
July 7
Bad check: An employee at Rondinelli Tuxedo, 207 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported getting a bad check.
Theft: A man discovered that while at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave., someone used his stolen credit card to make purchases at various Boardman businesses.
Theft: Two dealer plates were missing from Youngstown Buick Pontiac GMC, 7997 Market St.
Theft: A customer stole bedding items from a room at Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave.
Theft: A worker at Dobson Cellular, 8089 South Ave., discovered money had been removed from some accounts.
Drugs/theft: Police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown woman at Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall on charges of theft and possession of drugs (cocaine), both felonies, and carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor. Officers say the suspect had a folding knife and suspected drugs in her possession.
Thefts: A Youngstown man, 35, and a Poland girl, 15, were charged with theft after thefts took place at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, and Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road. The crimes were unrelated.
Domestic violence: A 46-year-old Boardman man faced a domestic-violence charge after a family member alleged he struck her in the face at a residence in the 1100 block of Red Tail Hawk Drive.
Arrest: After pulling over a car for having the wrong license plates and finding a small amount of suspected marijuana inside, officers apprehended a 44-year-old Youngstown man. Charges against him were having fictitious license plates and possession of marijuana.
Robbery: A 25-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a robbery charge after an employee at Kaufmann's alleged he used violence while attempting to flee after a theft at the store.
July 8
Criminal damaging: A man in the 800 block of Mathews Road noticed his car had been struck by a bullet.
Theft/breaking and entering: A couple in the 4200 block of Chester Drive reported the theft of items from their garage.
Stolen property: While on routine patrol, police arrested an Alliance man, 33, and charged him with receiving stolen property. Officers say the suspect was in possession of a stolen car at Tower Motel, 5235 Market St.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7400 block of South Avenue discovered damage to his car's driver's-side window and dashboard.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue went to her carport and found someone had spray-painted the passenger side of her vehicle.
Burglary: A woman reported her apartment in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue was broken into.
Attempted auto theft: A worker at Southwood Auto Sales, 5334 South Ave., discovered a car on the lot had been damaged, apparently after someone tried to steal it.
Theft: An employee at Plaza Book & amp; Smoke Shop, 235 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported the theft of $1,600 as well as four checks totaling $468.62.
Theft: A woman noticed her purse, cell phone, bank book and other items missing from her car while she was at Arby's, 650 Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: A woman in the 1900 block of Mathews Road told police her roommate was struck in the face with a glass.
Thefts: Someone stole three Vindicator newspaper boxes, one in front of Central Heating & amp; Cooling, 5626 South Ave., and the other two in front of Wal-Mart.
Arrest: A 51-year-old Youngstown man was picked up at McDonald's restaurant, 601 E. Midlothian Blvd., after it was discovered he was wanted on a felony warrant from Floyd County, Ga. The warrant charged him with failure to appear on a theft charge.
Thefts: Two Boardman women, 23 and 51, were arrested in separate theft incidents. One was accused of shoplifting at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road; the other was charged after a theft occurred at Wal-Mart.
Arrests: A 21-year-old Youngstown man and a 20-year-old woman, no address given, were arrested near South Avenue and U.S. Route 224. The man faced charges of possession of criminal tools, theft and possession of drug-abuse instruments; the woman was charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say the man fled from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, after a theft there.
July 9
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road reported her car was used without permission.
Theft: A woman discovered four lawn ornaments stolen from her yard in the 5300 block of Glenridge Road.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from a shopping cart while she was at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Auto theft: A woman came out of Wal-Mart and found out her car had been stolen.
Assault: A man reported being assaulted in a parking lot in the 6200 block of Market Street.
Arrest: Officers picked up a 30-year-old man at his Palo Verde Drive residence on three warrants charging him with failure to appear in court. The original charges were theft, passing bad checks and having no operator's license.
Arrest: A 51-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with one count of endangering children. Someone called police to report a 3-year-old child was left alone in a vehicle in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
July 10
Theft: Someone stole money from Marathon Oil, 965 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal simulation: Someone passed a counterfeit $20 bill at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Robbery: An employee at Walgreens Pharmacy, 7295 Market St., discovered the business was a victim, and that a safe was entered.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A 37-year-old Boardman man was charged with the crime after his former girlfriend said he took her car without permission and failed to return it.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a Boardman man, 47, on a domestic-violence charge after a woman alleged he pushed her down twice at their Larkridge Drive home.
Theft: A woman, 38, and a man, 47, both from Hubbard, were charged with theft. The woman was accused of stealing cleaning items from Wal-Mart and trying to return them for money; the man was accused of shoplifting.
Arrest: After officers say a 28-year-old Boardman man fled from them, they arrested him on two warrants. Charges against the man were resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
Burglary: A woman reported her apartment in the 7000 block of West Boulevard was burglarized.
Arrests: A Youngstown man, 18, and a boy, 17, no address given, were arrested near Rush Boulevard and Potomac Avenue. Charges against the pair were obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Arrest: Police say they found a loaded gun on the vehicle's passenger seat during a traffic stop. Arrested were a 19-year-old Youngstown man and an Akron man, 20. Both were charged with carrying a concealed weapon, and one suspect also was wanted on a warrant charging him with breaking and entering.
