VICTORIAN WEEKEND
Events schedule
Friday
Noon to 9 p.m.: Ice cream social on the Courthouse Lawn sponsored by Eastern Star Chapter #180.
1:30 p.m.: Mercer Area Library Story Hour.
5:30 to 6 p.m.: Light supper provided by Trinity Presbyterian Church.
6:15 p.m.: Victorian concert on the Courthouse Lawn featuring Amy Giauque, French horn, and Lapinski Family Orchestra.
7:30 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment with vocal soloist, Dr. Samuel DePama.
Saturday
8 a.m.: 5K Walk Race across from the Mercer Grange Fair Grounds on Route 58.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Arts and Crafts Show.
10 a.m. to noon: Grande Victorian Parade.
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Mercer Marketplace with assorted shops of bakers, live animals and music lessons at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Noon to 3 p.m.: Classic and Antique Car Show. Registration is 10 a.m. until noon at Ben Bissett Chevrolet.
Noon to 4 p.m.: Silent auction of Victorian items on the Courthouse lawn.
1 to 1:30 p.m.: Edison Phonograph demonstration and display at Republican Headquarters.
1 to 2:15 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment with Sound Witness, a gospel group.
2 to 3 p.m.: Historical walking tour of the Old Mercer Graveyard. Meet at the graveyard next to Shannon's Kandy Kitchen.
2:30 to 3 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment with Karen Elder, Group Clogging "Traveling Shoes."
3 p.m.: Underground Railroad Tour meets at the Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St. Presentation by Bill Philson.
3:15 to 4:30 p.m.: Bandstand Entertainment with Chuck Thorp and Ron Knapp.
4 to 4:30 p.m.: Edison Phonograph demonstration and display at Republican Headquarters.
10 p.m.: Fireworks at the fair grounds on Route 58 sponsored by community donations
Sunday
Noon to 5 p.m.: Silent auction of Victorian items on the Courthouse Lawn.
1 to 3 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment with the oldies group, The Great Pretenders.
1 to 1:30 p.m.: Edison Phonograph demonstration and display at Republican headquarters.
2 to 3 p.m.: Historical walking tour of the Old Mercer Graveyard. Meet at the graveyard next to Shannon's Kandy Kitchen.
3 p.m.: Victorian Tea at Legacy Banquet Center. Reservations are required.
3 p.m.: Edison Phonograph demonstration and display at Republican headquarters.
4 to 4:30 p.m.: Closing by Joe and Maria Bandzak
