XCanfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will have a summer luncheon at 1 p.m. Monday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Lou Speece from the Canfield War Museum will be the speaker. Members are asked to carpool.
The bus for the July 18-21 trip to Lancaster, Pa., will leave the Canfield Presbyterian Church at 6:15 a.m. Reservations with deposit will be taken at the luncheon for the following trips: AARP overnight mystery trip, Sept. 22-23; Waikiki and Maui, Hawaii, Oct. 24 to Nov. 1; and New York City Rockettes in Pittsburgh, Nov. 16. XBrownlee Woods Senior Citizens will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Community United Church of Christ, corner of Sheridan Road and Midlothian Boulevard, for crafts and cards. Members should take a sack lunch; tea and coffee will be furnished. New members are welcome.

XGirard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the senior center. Following the business meeting, Girard Police Chief Frank Bigowsky will be the speaker. Everyone is encouraged to wear colorful clothing.
GOLDEN PILLARS
XMembers of the Golden Pillars of St. Mary Church will meet Tuesday in the social center on Belle Vista Avenue. The liturgy will be held at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. Eleanor Hnat will preside for business, and a social with cards and bingo will follow.
J.C. PENNEY
XJ.C. Penney Retirees will meet for an annual picnic at noon Tuesday at the Ex-servicemen's Pavilion in Boardman Park. Those attending should take their own table setting and a casserole or dessert.
LIBERTY
XLiberty Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday at the Church Hill United Methodist Church. Liberty firefighters will conduct a blood pressure screening at 10:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 11. The Liberty Senior Citizen Line Dancers, led by Lola McFarland, will perform after lunch. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; beverage will be provided. Hostesses for the month are Peg Eckelberger, Magda Roth and Becky McCauley.
MARTHA LUPSE
XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Janet Pusser will lead devotions, and the annual covered dish luncheon will be held at noon. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. ST. ANTHONY
XSt. Anthony Senior Club will hold its annual picnic Tuesday at Tod Park in Girard . Coffee and donuts will be available at 10 a.m., and the luncheon starts at noon. The winning tickets will be drawn for the annual raffle, followed by cards and games.
