AUSTINTOWN -- Trustees are expected to vote next week to award two infrastructure projects.
A motion to approve a contract with Cleveland Asphalt Inc. of Bessemer, Pa., for the township's 2005 resurfacing program is on the agenda for the trustees meeting Monday.
Michael B. Dockry, township administrator, said 5 miles of township roads will be resurfaced.
The company's bid of $42.85 per ton of asphalt and $1.65 per square yard of milling was the lowest and best bid of the three received for the project.
Resurfacing work will be done on Kimberly, North Inglewood, North Beverly, North Edgehill, Westminster, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Purdue, West Hampton, Rosemont and Baylor avenues; Benton, Eigen, Third and Diana streets; North Yorkshire Boulevard; East Rockwell, Idlewood, Cannon and Burkey roads; Wickliffe and Wyndclift circles; and Marcia, Cavalcade, Rhode Island, Crabwood, Johnson Farm and Maplecrest drives.
The township checked references of Canfield city and township, Boardman and the Ohio Department of Transportation for work done by the company since 2002. All four entities reported the work satisfactory, according to the Monday meeting agenda.

Trustees also are expected to consider a $55,462.60 contract with Foust Construction Inc. of Girard, based on the recommendation of engineer Thomas Fok & amp; Associates of Austintown, for the Burkey Road sidewalk upgrade.
The company's bid was the lowest of the four submitted for the project.
Trustees also will open bids on another project. The Kleber Avenue storm and sanitary sewer improvement project is estimated at $350,000. The township is kicking in about $55,000 as the local share with the majority of the cost covered by a state Issue 2 grant.
Larger-capacity sewer pipes will be installed to address flooding that deluged about a dozen homes on the street during the past two rainy summers.
