CLASS A BASEBALL Scrappers win again, hit road for six-day N.Y. trip

Jordan Brown's ninth-inning home-run ended Saturday's game against Auburn.
NILES -- Jordan Brown hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Mahoning Valley Scrappers defeated the Auburn Doubledays 5-4 Saturday night at Eastwood Field.
The victory gave the Scrappers their first two-game winning streak of the season and evened their record at 6-6.
They finished their recent homestand with a 3-3 mark before leaving for Batavia, N.Y., for Sunday's game.
Brown, who had two of the Scrappers' six hits, came up with one out in the ninth and the score tied 4-4.
After working the count to 3-1, Brown drilled a shot deep over the right-field fence to end the contest.
Mahoning Valley got on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the first inning. Jose Constanza tripled to the gap in left field and scored on a fielder's choice by Matt Fornasiere.
Auburn tied the game in the top of the fourth inning. Ryan Patterson doubled, reached third on a fielder's choice and scored on a wild pitch.
The Scrappers regained the lead in the fifth inning, taking advantage of two Auburn errors.
Brown led off the inning with a single and reached second on an error by the Auburn starter Kristian Bell.
Boodle Clark notched a single that went through the legs of the right fielder. Brown scored from first and Clark reached second.
Clark reached third base on a fly ball by Chris Clem, then scored on a squeeze bunt by Derrick Peterson.
Peterson ended up reaching first because no one covered the bag. Peterson stole second and eventually scored on a wild pitch as the Scrappers jumped out to a 4-1 lead.
Auburn tied the game when Manny Sena scored on a wild pitch in the top of the eighth inning.
That set the table for the bottom of the ninth inning and Brown's heroics.
Dustin Roddy picked up the victory as he pitched the final inning and two-thirds to even his record at 1-1
Mahoning Valley is in Batavia, N.Y. for a three-game series with the Muckdogs and then will travel to Jamestown for another three-game set with the Jammers before returning home on Saturday.
