Astro Falcons sweep Koch/Line Drive in Little b playoff series

STRUTHERS -- The Astro Falcons spotted Joe Koch Construction/Line Drive a 2-0 lead then scored nine runs to sweep their Little b baseball playoff series with a 9-2 victory.
Astros will play either Wolf Contracting or R & amp; J Trucking in the best-of-five championship series which will start either today or Tuesday.
R & amp; J Trucking had a 1-0 series leading heading into Sunday's late game.
Matt Wier allowed a two-run double to Anthony LaVolpa in the first inning, then shut down Koch/Line the rest of the way as he tossed a complete game with six strilkeouts.
Astro took the lead in the third inning. A one-out single by Andy Onufrak was followed by a triple by Cameron Konop to tie the game. Konop scored the go-ahead run on a groundout by Drew Turocy.
Astro scored three times in the fifth with a RBI double by Turocy and a two-run single by Mike Dota to increase the lead to 6-3.
Three more runs in the seventh inning put the game away. Kevin Koval had a pinch-hit two RBI double.
Dota finished with three hits while Konop had a pair.
Nick Turco went the first six innings for Koch/Line Drive and suffered the loss.
