Second annual outing scheduled at Candywood
Proceeds will benefit the Air Force Assistance Fund.
VIENNA -- Golfers have until July 10 to sign up for the second annual Air Force Assistance Fund Golf Outing to be held July 22 at Candywood Golf Course, 765 Scoville-North Road.
Registration for the four-person scramble will begin at 7:30 a.m. prior to the shotgun start. The cost of $100 per player is tax-deductible and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, complimentary golf pack at registration, coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, lunch at the turn and a steak dinner. Beverages will also be provided throughout the day.
Prizes include a 2005 H2 Hummer for a hole-in-one on No. 11, two chances to win $100,000 in a closest-to-the-pin contest and two $2,500 prizes for a 50-foot putting contest. First-, second- and third-place prizes are $400, $200 and $100, respectively. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and other raffle prizes at dinner.
The field is limited to 144, and reservations are being taken on a first come, first served basis. Call John Falfas at (330) 550-4858. There will be no refunds.
