Metro Ice gains ground in Warren Class AA race

WARREN -- Metro Ice built an 8-1 lead through five innings and held on to post a 8-6 victory over D & amp;K Roofing in a Warren Class AA League game at Packard Park MacGregor Field.
The win got the Ice within 11/2 games of Caffie Division-leader MTC Knights.
Christian Thoma hit a two-run home run for Metro Ice in the third inning. Nick Zajaczkowski hit a double and single for the winners. TJ Trevis hit a double.
Jason Williams led R & amp;K Roofing with two hits and Vince Gentile hit a double.
Molded Plastics 8, MTC Knights 2
Champion Molded Plastics scored five runs in the third inning and the Knights couldn't recover.
Ryan Dillon led the winners with a double and single and he drove in two runs. Matt Johnston hit a triple and a single and Chris Green added two hits.
Nate Radtke led the Knights with two hits.
