BOARDMAN -- Robert L. Collins, M.D. of The Reproductive Center is hosting a free public seminar on "Infertility: New Advances in Treatment." Dr. Collins, board certified in reproductive endocrinology/infertility, is a nationally recognized expert in infertility and In-Vitro Fertilization who has written and lectured extensively on the subject. The event will be held on July 14, at The Holiday Inn -- Youngstown South, 7410 South Ave. Registration is at 6 p.m. Seminar begins at 6:30 p.m. Advance registration is required; call (330) 965-8390 or (877) 214-8390. Pediatric accreditation
YOUNGSTOWN -- Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital at Northside Medical Center and Beeghly Medical Park's pediatric echocardiography laboratories has received national accreditation in pediatric transthoracic echocardiography.
The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL) awarded the accreditation. Pediatric transthoracic echocardiography is a noninvasive, diagnostic ultrasound of the heart. It provides a close, internal picture that enables physicians to view all aspect of an infant or child's heart.
The ICAEL is sponsored by the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography.

Well-child clinic
GIRARD -- The well-child immunization clinic will be held at noon Thursday in the Girard Health Department in the City Building. The clinic is offered free of charge to Girard city children, and Dr. James J. Enyeart, medical director, conducts the examinations. Parents are reminded to bring a copy of the child's immunization record. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 18. Parents must pre-register child before the clinic. Please call the Health Department, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (330) 545-6048.
