Pilot of plane hospitalized after crash during takeoff

WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (AP) -- A single-engine plane crashed during takeoff on Friday, barely missing the top of a house before landing in trees, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
The pilot, Tony Fiore of Buford, Ga., was able to climb out of the craft and was taken to a Dayton hospital, Lt. Bill Peck said.
Fiore's plane apparently lost power after taking off from Moraine Air Park southwest of Dayton, Peck said.
